Kindergarten
OurVision
At our academy, the Kindergarten section educates children aged 3 to 6 years with the goal of nurturing happy, confident, and tolerant individuals ready to succeed in the future. We focus on nurturing effective communication in English. We encourage them to become self-motivated, independent, creative, and critical thinkers who develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our approach is guided by four core principles from the English Early Years Foundation Stage:
- The Unique Child – We recognize each child’s individuality and tailor our teaching to their interests and pace, helping them reach their full potential. Their progress is carefully monitored and documented through personalized Learning Journeys.
- Positive Relationships – We foster a warm and welcoming environment where children, staff, parents, and the community work together. This nurturing atmosphere promotes responsibility, inclusivity, and mutual respect.
- Enabling Environment – Our well-organized and spacious environment encompasses all areas of the Early Years curriculum, providing children with opportunities to explore, create, and take risks.
- Learning & Development – children learn and develop at different pace.
‘Free Play’ is central to our routines. It allows children to choose what they want to do, how they want to do it, and when to stop and try something else. This type of unstructured free play is critical for the healthy development of a child. It helps children learn to work collaboratively, share, negotiate, and resolve conflicts. When play is child-driven, children practice decision-making skills, move at their own pace, discover their areas of interest, and fully engage in the passions they wish to pursue.
We adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, focusing on seven interconnected areas of learning and development. These areas are divided into:
Prime Areas
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social, and Emotional Development
Specific Areas
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
Through this comprehensive approach, we aim to develop the strong, critical, and creative thinkers of the future.
